How to place a limit order

Last updated on Aug 20, 2026

A limit order lets you choose the price at which you want to buy or sell. It stays open until it fills or you cancel it, and a fill is not guaranteed.

Place the order

  1. Go to app.n1.xyz and open Trade.

  2. Select the market you want to trade.

  3. In the order form, choose Buy / Long or Sell / Short.

  4. Select Limit.

  5. Confirm the margin mode, leverage, and Active Account.

  6. Enter your desired price in Price (USD). Select Mid if you want to use the current midpoint as a starting price.

  7. Enter the amount in Size, or use the percentage slider.

  8. Review Order Value, Required Margin, Liquidation Price, and Fees.

  9. Select Buy or Sell to place the order.

Optional settings

  • Reduce Only: the order can only reduce an existing position.

  • Post Only: the order will only be added to the order book; it is canceled if it would execute immediately.

  • GTC: Good Til Canceled keeps the order open until it fills or you cancel it.

Check or cancel the order

  1. Open the Open Orders tab below the chart.

  2. Find the order by market, side, size, and price.

  3. Use the action on that row to cancel it if needed.

  4. Check Order History after the order fills or is canceled.

Before submitting, double-check the market, side, price, size, margin mode, and leverage.
